From April 14-17, a Belarusian delegation participated in the Hong Kong Tourism Summit.
The summit, themed «Innovate City Branding to Elevate Tourism Excellence», was jointly hosted by the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) and the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Dzmitry Marozau, Director of the National Agencyof Tourism, and Elena Kosmach, Head of the Tourism Division at the Department of Sport and Tourism, presented reports on the development of inbound tourismin Belarus, city branding projects, and marketing strategies aimed at increasing tourist exchange between Belarus and Hong Kong.
During bilateral meetings, participation in the International Hong Kong Tourism Exhibition (scheduled for June 12–15) was discussed.
According to the plan, Belarus will berepresented at the exhibition by a national stand and will host a B2B workshop 13th of June with tourism companies from Hong Kong, Macao and Guangdong. The Minsk International Tourism Exhibition «Leisure-2026» (scheduled for April 9–11) at the new exhibition center «BelExpo» was announced, and Chinese colleagues were invited to participate.
