On 22 June Belarusian athletes won 14 medals at the 2nd European Games, four of which were gold, BelTA has learned. Belarusian acrobats Veranika Nabokina, Julia Ivonchyk and Karina Sandovich brought the first gold for Belarus. They were victorious in Acrobatic Gymnastics Women's Groups Balance. Later on they bagged bronze in Women's Groups Dynamic. Another gold was claimed by Belarus' Artur Beliakou and Volha Melnik in Acrobatic Gymnastics - Mixed Pairs Dynamic. They also earned the bronze medal in dynamic exercises. Belarusians did well on the first day of competition in sambo. The first gold medals came thanks to Aliaksandr Koksha and Anzhela Zhylinskaya. Anastasiia Arkhipava took silver. Bronze medals were collected by Anfisa Kapayeva, Tatsiana Matsko, Uladzislau Burdz, Tsimafei Yemelyanau. Belarus' Karyna Kazlouskaya, Hanna Marusava, and Karyna Dziominskaya secured silver in the women's recurve archery event. Belarus' Tatsiana Sharakova won bronze in the 120km Women's Road Race. Belarus' Katsiaryna Halkina placed third in the Individual All-Around event (rhythmic gymnastics). Russia tops the medal table with 18 (nine gold, five silver, and four bronze) medals. Representatives of 20 teams graced the podium on Day One.
