"The export of tourism services in Grodno Oblast last year reached more than $10 million, up by 28%," said Tatiana Lidyayeva.According to the deputy head of the department, the vast majority of foreign tourists come to the region from the Russian Federation. "Last year we focused on our main markets and partners, friendly nations. These are the regions of the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, CIS countries, primarily Uzbekistan, and other friendly states," said Tatiana Lidyayeva.
"Such types of tourism as rural, industrial, hunting, historical and cultural tourism (this is one of the main types of tourism, given the number of preserved objects of historical and cultural heritage) continued to develop actively. Ecological tourism is gaining ground," she said.According to Tatiana Lidyayeva, the distinctive feature of Grodno Oblast is the creation of a network of tourist information centers, there are 13 of them in the region. The work in this field will be continued.
